Luxury Jewellery Trends for 2015

The world's most beautiful high quality jewelry designers are placing more emphasis on individual style and creativity than ever before. Colour palettes are increasing with the use of rare stones and statement pieces are taking over the traditional, Glamourous sophisticated high-end fashion jewelry and more formal style. From bold, clashing colours and textures to the refined simplicity of gold and diamonds, here are some of 2015's top trends in jewellery.

Statement Bracelets
Chunky, silver bangles, cuff bracelets and charm bracelets with oversized ornaments are trending in 2015. A signature bracelet can turn a simple dress into a glamourous outfit with the right designer match.

Famed for Italian gold, the lacy design of Buccellati's cuff bracelet is pure Roman style, diamond embedded luxury for your wrist. Sticking with the bold statement of cuff bracelets, Tiffany's new, trademarked metal RUBEDO, in an extra wide cuff, also conveys Roman inspired drama.

For a more traditional, yet fashionable bracelet, the Lily Collection by Harry Winston combines a feminine, fluid, floral design with gold and diamonds and Chopard's Happy Diamonds collection includes the ICONS bracelet, in 18-carat rose gold with diamonds.

Brooches are Back

Vintage brooches never go out of style, but this year's attention is focused on elaborate, individual designs. Brooches have come a long way from the old-fashioned blouse statement they used to be. Pin them on your scarf to create a focal point for your outfit. Attach one to a plain hat or even slide a brooch into your up-style hairdo for added sparkle.

Brooches can be added to boots over the top of plain buckles, or you can hang them from a trendy chain necklace for a one of a kind design. This year, brides are spoilt for choice with diamond and gold brooches to add to bags, dresses or honeymoon outfits, from the world's top designers.

Swarovski's Amethyst Flower Brooch sums up this year's individuality theme with a slight emphasis on bohemian glamour. The Rhodium-plated brooch in light amethyst and amethyst crystal pavé makes a glamourous, feminine statement.

Faberge's Fallen Poppy Petal Brooch with yellow, pink and violet diamonds, garnets and opals is extravagant and best paired with singular colour outfits to highlight its remarkable iridescent glow.

For a brooch evoking simple elegance to go with everything, Mikomoto's Silver Akoya Pearl brooch highlights a modern, fashionable look. With its fanned out, branch-like design, this brooch is fashionable now, and always will be.

Necklace Collars
Not quite a choker, yet not quite a necklace, necklace collars are the new neckwear hybrid. Wear them with off-the-shoulder dresses or wide V-necked tops for extra effect. Necklace collars can be worn during the day or at night and are best chosen either for simplicity if your outfit is elaborate, or, by all means, go all out with chunky designs to pair with your little black dress.

Bvgari's Monette collection includes an 18 carat, pick gold necklace with mother of pearl, antique coins and pavé diamonds, the perfect accompaniment to your outfit for a red-carpet affair. Van Cleef & Arpel offer a floral, white gold and sapphire necklace to add a delicate, ultra feminine flavour for day or nightwear.

For the ultimate in glamour and sophistication, Cartier's signature C De Cartier Necklace in 18-carat pink gold, set with a brilliant cut diamond, has an adjustable chain to ensure you can position it in just the right spot for your outfit.

Mismatched Earrings
Last year saw the end of the 'one-earring only' trend. 2015 welcomes mismatched earrings in any style. Pair a gold stud with an elaborate chandelier style earring or choose two different colour gemstones, one for each ear.

Simple daywear can be transformed into creative art by cleverly accessorising earrings. Marc by Marc Jacob's Orbit gold-tone hoop earrings look fantastic together with sleek, pulled back hair, but combining one with a single gold, diamond stud in the other ear works with this year's trends.
